Terms and Conditions of Strudda Bank Pod Paddock
Payment Policy
50% non refundable deposit is required at time of booking with the remaining balance to be paid on arrival. If for any reason you have to cancel your holiday, please give us as much notice as possible, it is then at our discretion to offer an alternative date, subject to availability. We can only change the booking once and the alternative date must be within 12 months of original holiday. In the event of cancellation of booking by us; if we are unable to provide the booked holiday we will refund in full. We strongly advise you take out the appropriate travel insurance so you can have peace of mind that your costs will be covered should you need to cancel your holiday for any reason.
Arrivals and Departures
On arrival we will show you to your pod and around the site unless alternative arrangements have been made. Only guests on original booking are allowed to stay on site. Any extra guests will only be permitted to stay on site at the owner’s discretion. Any day visitors must identify themselves to the site owners, so we know who’s on the site for evacuation purposes in the event of a fire.
Check in is between 15.00 -20.00
Check out before 11.00am
Late arrivals after 20.00 must be arranged in advance, give us a call if any problems.
Group bookings
We are a small quiet site and welcome families, couples, small groups of friends and single people.
Code of conduct
We ask guests to respect fellow guests and keep the noise down to a minimum after 10.00pm. We do not allow amplified music. If this rule is contravened, then we reserve the right to ask noisy/disruptive guests to leave. Parents are responsible for children under 16 and must supervise them at all times.
Parking and property
Free parking is available, for one car next to the Pod, any other vehicles can be parked on the site carpark. All cars are parked at owner’s risk. We accept no responsibility for any losses or damage that may occur to your car or any property whilst at Strudda Bank Pod Paddock. Please stay off the grass with any vehicles.
Breakages and damage
Accidents do happen and please let us know if anything is broken or damaged, we hope not to charge but reserve the right to do so if larger costs are involved.
Rubbish and Recycling
All rubbish and recycling should be sorted appropriately and taken to our recycling bins. Please wash and squash as we have to dispose of the rubbish and recycling ourselves.
Dogs
Only Swaledale Shelter is dog friendly to a maximum of 2 small well behaved dogs.

Please ensure all dogs are kept on leads and under control of a responsible adult at all times. We are a working farm with lots of livestock. chasing of any animals will not be permitted!

Pets are not permitted on any furniture, ie. sofas and beds - even with covers applied

Pets are never to be left unattended in the pods at any time

The interior and grounds of the property must be left in a clean, undamaged condition

Pets must be clean before entry to the pod.

Your pet must not be permitted to cause any kind of nuisance to others staying at the site

Dog owners are responsible for clearing up after dog and disposing of dog foul.

You must agree to settle costs for any dog foul, chewed damaged furniture in the pods.

Certain breeds of dogs we just cannot accept in accordance with the Dangerous Dog act 1991. Any dog known as a Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Braziliero or any dog used for fighting.
Smoking
No smoking policy applies to all our Pods, we have assigned a smoking area on the pod field, your cooperation is appreciated.
Fire pits/BBQ’s
A fire pit/BBQ is provided for each Pod, logs and charcoal can be purchased on site (bring cash). No campfires or guests own BBQ’s are permitted on site. Fire pits must be used on the paved area by the Pod only.
Childrens Play Area
The play area is there to be enjoyed by your children, please ensure your children are supervised at all times.
Complaints
If a problem arises during your stay please let us know as we would really like to resolve it as soon as possible. If in the unlikely event, you do wish to complain later you can contact us by phone or email and we will try to resolve any issue as soon as possible.
